Sita Diehl, executive director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness for the state of Tennessee, will speak on ?A Closer Look at the Mental Health/Ex-Patient Movement in Tennessee? at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday in Room 211 of Peck Hall, according to an MTSU news release.

New mental health centre to be built (Harrow Times)
A NEW ?7m centre designed for people with mental health problems will be built in Northwick Park Hospital. The current mental health unit at the hospital, run by the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, will be demolished to make way for new purpose-built facility.

Lewis County could tax for mental health (Tacoma Business Examiner)
Eight of the state’s 39 counties have taken advantage of a new law that allows counties to increase their sales tax by 0.1 percent to pay for mental health and chemical dependency services and Lewis County could be next to follow suit, according to a new report.
